  1. Thanks Brett. Have always appreciated your strong support and leadership over the years. By the way, that photo was 20 years and 20kg ago! Can't do anything about the years but will have to address the kg :)

  2. Well done, Greg! Thoroughly deserved and I'm sure it will mean even more as the years wear on and you look less and less like the fit young turk in that photo!  It also shows the level of support you’ve had from your family over the years.

By the way, I still recall that photo shoot in Elder Pk all those years ago. 20 years ago! Wow!! And to think that some locals gave the band 6 months before we’d fall apart, and were actually willing it to happen...?? What vision they had. And here we still are, going it alone.

It's great that SA has instructors like you, who can ‘walk the walk’ at the highest level and who push the art form both on and off the contest field. Having the rare opportunity to develop young musicians from ‘scratch’ in a relatively captive environment is the true measure of an instructor. Through your expertise and vision, you have consistently churned out Gr1 players and given them an opportunity to open other doors in their lives through music. The national pipe band landscape is better for your selfless work and vision. If only SA had more like you! Congratulations on this award and the recognition it bears. – Andy F.
